Tour bus on time. Tour guide, Brian, very knowledgeable and friendly. Gray Line’s company staff promptly returned my phone call to clarify some questions. At a time when customer service is declining, they were excellent. I would recommend this tour!

Brian Sweeney was very courteous, helpful and friendly. The tour bus was clean and the seating comfortable. Most of all, however, was the knowledge base of Brian. He knew every little detail about “everything” – the city, weather, demographics and every important detail about the tour. Where to stand for the best view and what to look for at each site. Amazing! You want be disappointed. If you have the opportunity to ride his bus, don’t hesitate. Be sure to leave a generous tip, it was worth it.Show less

Great scenery and history of the outdoors if you don’t have time (or transportation)
Summary: This is a great scenic and informative tour if you don’t have a lot of time (or your own car) and want to experience some of the beauty of Oregon not far away from the city! Worth the price for sure!

I didn’t have my own car while visiting Portland, but I still wanted to see some of the beautiful outdoors not far off. After researching my options, though I don’t often do tours, I signed up for the Gray Line half-day tour of the Falls and Gorge. It helped that one of the pickup points was very convenient to me, since 8:30 is painfully early when I’m on vacation.
The bus was clean, comfortable, and perfectly air conditioned for the summer weather. Our tour guide Brian shared great history and also took great pics!
I would have loved to have more time to do a longer hike, but this tour was a useful introduction so I know what’s worth coming back to!

This morning half day tour is a MUST do if you are in the area! Brian was a FABULOUS driver/tour guide/photographer! He did it all! We stopped at two different falls, he advised on the places to take the best photos and even took them for all of us! The fish hatchery, Bonneville dam, Vista House were all just amazing and he gave a great running commentary! The views of the Gorge were awesome. You must got to Multnomah Falls in the morning, the afternoons are too crowded. I cannot say enough goo things about this tour or about Brian!!

My husband and I enjoyed the Pink Trolley tour of Portland. It was a great overall view of the city. Nice stop at The Portland Rose Garden. No hop off and on due to Covid, only the one stop.

I believe that Gray Line was not running the hop on hop off due to Covid so we took this tour which lasted 2 hours. Our bus driver narrated a very informative tour that took us throughout different neighborhoods and stopped for 1/2 hour to see the rose garden in Washington Park. Well worth the price.

The falls were beautiful, and definitely the highlight of our trip. The city tour gave us some good ideas for where to eat and drink since many places were closed while Portland tries to bounce back.

Waterfall Trolley
Took this tour a few days ago with my Michigan Uncle Les. Great narration and driver, leaves are just beginning to turn fall colors, we loved it all. Well done, Waterfall Trolley! A beautiful and historic part of Oregon.

I can’t recommend this activity more. I’m originally from PDX and have been through the Gorge a million times. The trolley gave us a close up and leisurely trip. We scheduled lunch at the Multnomah Falls Lodge. It was so great to have admission to the Falls included in our very affordable ticket price.

What a great transportation system this is to see the falls (including Multnomah)! We ordered our tickets online, saving us a couple dollars, but regardless, this is a super alternative way to see the falls without the traffic jams and parking lot hassles! And our driver offered all kinds of historical information throughout the route. It was so easy. Hop off. Take pictures. Visit gift shop (Multnomah Falls). Hop back on. Visit the falls you’d like. Stay on board if you choose to bypass a few. The trolleys are open air and a truly delightful ride. To us, this is simply the smartest and most economical way to visit the historic Columbia Gorge waterfalls area.
